Sixth Form Results 2017

More than one in three students achieve an A grade or equivalent.

Sixth Form students at The Duston School are celebrating another successful year with more than one in three students taking home at least one A grade or equivalent level three qualification.

Amongst the highest performing Year 13 students, with two or more A grades, are Aaron Campbell, Louise Clarke, Kathryn Flynn, Jessica Gray, Abigail Shocklidge and Olivia Worth. We are also very proud of Georgia Barby-Hefford, Jessica Bird, Jasmine Going and Georgina Holland who all achieved triple Distinction Star grades. Following in the footsteps of Year 13, a further six Year 12 students achieved two or more A grades, Aaron Andrews, Jack Bird, Helena Enright-King, Kamil Hepak, Jithin James and Brandon Stratton. We have students attending some of the most prestigious universities in the country, with a number of students attending Russell Group Universities, and continuing to follow the footsteps of our Warwick University graduates. We have students attending University to complete degrees in Bio-Chemistry, Law, History, Geography and Maths.

Results were particularly strong in geography, history, maths, media, sociology and vocational subjects, with significant improvements in IT.

Mr Sam Strickland, Principal, is delighted and enamoured by the efforts and achievement of all students.

Mrs Natasha Whiles, Director of Sixth Form, is exceptionally proud of students who have lived her motto of ‘dreaming big.’ She is excited for the year ahead as work comes to completion on the incredible new Sixth Form centre which places the Sixth Form at the heart of the school.
