The Duston School is looking to appoint an experienced Clerk to the Trust and Governing Body to provide an efficient and reliable clerking service and to provide advice and support to the Trust, members and Governing Body ensuring compliance with governance regulations.The successful candidate will understand the importance of strong Governance and that the Clerk plays a pivotal role in the success of the school. The post holder will report to the Chair of the Trust/Governing Body and the Principal of the school. Main duties and responsibilities: • Advice to the Trust/Governing Body/members • Effective administration of the meetings • Membership • Manage Information The successful candidate will be required to attend the meetings across the academic year usually 10—12 meetings per year held in the evening.
