Our Careers Team works collaboratively with pupils, families, staff, employers and education and training providers to ensure every pupil receives the information, advice, guidance and experiences they need to plan confidently for their future. Careers provision is supported and overseen by the school’s Senior Leadership Team, demonstrating our whole-school commitment to preparing pupils for their next steps.
Diane Fisher,Lead Practitioner and Careers Leader Diane leads the strategic development and delivery of careers education across The Duston School, from Primary through to Sixth Form. She works with pupils, staff, families, employers and education providers to create meaningful opportunities that raise aspirations and prepare pupils for their futures.
Simon Beal,Senior Assistant Headteacher and Senior Leadership Line Manager for Careers Simon provides senior leadership support and oversight for careers provision, helping to ensure that careers education remains an important part of the school’s curriculum and wider strategic priorities.
Cheryl McCarthy,Independent Careers Adviser Cheryl provides pupils with independent and impartial careers information, advice and guidance. She supports pupils to explore their options and make informed decisions about their future education, training and employment pathways.
Scarlett Pascoe,Apprentice Careers Administrator Scarlett supports the organisation and administration of the school’s careers programme, including careers events, employer engagement, work experience and opportunities for pupils.
