The Duston School is looking to appoint a dynamic and inspiring Second in Geography to strengthen the EBaac faculty. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an imaginative, creative and inspiring teacher to work in a supportive and energetic school where students are making significant and sustained progress. We welcome applications from qualified teachers and ECT’s, who can demonstrate the highest standards of delivery in order to raise attainment and are committed to motivating young people.

Duties include:

• Deputise for the running of the geography department in the absence of the Head of Geography, as and when required

• To assist the Head of Geography in developing the quality of teaching and learning in the department, monitoring standards, reviewing existing practice and planning for the future

• To co-ordinate the Key Stage 3 (year 7-9) curriculum – assessments, end of topic tests, schemes of work, knowledge organisers, work books, remote learning plans, and to provide support to colleagues as required

• To co-ordinate the Year 12 Geography curriculum – assessments, mocks, schemes of work, knowledge organisers, work books, remote learning plans and to provide support to colleagues as required

• Any other relevant duties requested by the Head of Geography
