Partnering up with Southend Education

‘The Luminara Education Trust is hugely proud to announce that The Duston School will be engaging in a strategic partnership with Southend Education to spread its superb educational practice to other countries in the world. The overarching aim is to support the creation and development of brand-new schools in the developing world, with a view to making a real difference to the education and life chances of the children in those communities. This is a truly innovative approach, whereby the model of schooling and approaches adopted by The Duston School will be spread globally.

The Duston School believes in delivering a world-class education that empowers every student to succeed. The school is delighted to be able to support new schools globally and take huge pride in its provision, which offers:

  • A school where academic excellence thrives, built upon a true knowledge-rich curriculum that challenges and inspires children to achieve strong academic outcomes.
  • High expectations and superb classroom teaching.
  • A calm, focused environment for learning built upon clear and consistent systems that ensure positive behaviour is the established norm. This allows children to learn and teachers to teach.
  • Supportive and expert staff, who are valued and developed professionally to deliver an exceptional educational experience.
  • Developing confident, responsible young people. Through a strong emphasis on character education, pupils learn the importance of resilience, integrity, and leadership. They leave the school not just with strong qualifications but with the values and confidence to make a difference to society.
  • A clear purpose, a strong identity, and a commitment to excellence and inclusivity.

The Chair of the Trust, Claudia Wade and The Principal/CEO, Sam Strickland both cited just how honoured and humbled they are to be able to share the exceptional work that The Duston School provides to the world stage. These are truly exciting times for both The Duston School and Southend Education.’
